These terms cover your use of katali.studio. They are short because the site is simple: it introduces our studio, presents our books, and points you to the shops that sell them. By browsing, you accept what follows.

Who we are

Katali Studio is the public name of Katali Studio Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company based in Ontario.

What this site is for

This is a place to read about our work, not a shop. Nothing is sold here. Where a title is available, we link to a retailer that sells it, and the purchase is between you and them.

Using the site

You are welcome to read our pages, quote briefly from them with attribution, and share them for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not copy the site wholesale, present our work as your own, attempt to break or overload it, or use automated tools to harvest its contents.

What belongs to whom

The words, cover art, illustrations, design and name of Katali Studio are ours, and the books themselves remain in copyright. Some photography is licensed from the photographers who made it and remains their work. If you would like to use any of it, write to us and ask. We are easier to deal with than you might expect.

Buying our books

Retailers set their own prices, availability, shipping and returns, and their terms govern what happens when you buy. We do our best to keep the links and details here accurate, but we cannot promise a price or a publication date will hold, and we are not a party to your purchase.

Writing to us

The contact form sends your message to our inbox through Web3Forms. Please do not send confidential, sensitive or financial information through it. We read every message, though we cannot promise a reply to all of them.

Analytics and your information

We run Google Analytics only if you accept it, and you can change your mind at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. The Privacy Policy sets out what is collected and who sees it, and the Cookie Policy covers what is stored on your device.

What we can and cannot promise

We keep this site up and accurate as best we can, but it is offered as it is. We cannot guarantee it will always be available or entirely free of error, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights you hold under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We will revise these terms when the site changes, and update the date above. The version posted here is the one in effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute.
